        Only??  That is horridly old.

        If you're going to go thru the time and effort of building under
        Cygwin why not do it with a non-obsolete version of mjpegtools?

        If you see .s files then you're working with an old version for 
        which changes probably won't be accepted since development is 
        proceeding (in bursts ;)) on the CVS version.
        
        When I saw mention of fdct_mmx.s I knew that an old version was 
        being used because there are NO .s files remaining in the current
        version (hasn't been released - just can't get any momentum built
        towards that though)

        Anything older than the already ancient version you're working with
        can be retrieved from 'cvs' I think - do a "cvs log" and go on an
        archaeological dig :-)
