        Ouch - that won't build on a 64bit system.

Yes - you'll need to get the CVS version of mjpegtools if you are
building on a 64bit system. There are several problems with building
1.6.2 on an AMD64 system. In addition to the problem(s) you're
currently having eventually you'd get to the assembly language
code and the build would stop at that point.

If you are building on a 64bit system then do not bother with the
jpeg-mmx library - it does not build on a 64bit system (I tried that
a few days ago on an Opteron-250 SuSE 9.2 system).

Check out the CVS version, make sure you have recent versions of
autoconf/automake and libtool installed and you should get a lot
further along in the build proceedure.

One of these days we'll get a release out the door - but not today ;)

        Cheers,
        Steven Schultz
