        It worked fairly well - the main problem I recall being in the
        1.6.2 mplex was the coded in 2GB limit.

        We had a release and I missed it? ;-)

        There hasn't been a release since 1.6.2 - the only alternative to
        a "released version" is to use the 'cvs' version.

        That is a bit of a problem though - about the time a release cycle
        is mentioned the development cycle picks up speed. 

        It's quite safe - just be sure to use "-p 0' when running y4mdenoise :)
