I am encoding with the tmpgenc matrix right now and i will report the
results.

"-f 8" is added behind the scenes by transcode. The script has only the
parameters that are added to the ones set by transcode, or that override
them.

Here's a snapshot of the parameters i'm using right now:

mpeg2enc -v 0 -I 1 -f 8 -b 8000 -F 4 -n n -a 2 -o "fault-002.m2v" -c -q
6 -4 2 -2 1 -K tmpgenc -R 2

Um, you mean the "-b" i specify to mpeg2enc will get overriden by "-f
8"? If yes, with what value?

Ah, yes, that's just the file extension i use.
What do you suggest instead?

As usual, all software players are playing those DVDs just fine.

It certainly is 48kHz, that's what my camcorder generates.
In any case, i'm using AC3, not MP2.
