At the moment v4l only seems to be loaded if I hot-plug my webcam. > It's almost as though the zoran driver wasn't loading, but lsmod includes > zr36060, videocodec and v4l2-common. However, I think in the past I had more > modules loaded that referred to zr36060? Depending on your card you should have loded that modules for your DC10+: saa7110, adv7175, zr36060, zoran. If you don't use the CVS version the zoran might have a different name.
If you are not soure if the driver is correct loaded take a look at /var/log/messages and search for the zoran driver, you will find information if the driver is correct loaded. > > > glav -p C /Data/mulan.avi > > > ++: **ERROR: [lavplay] Error opening /dev/video: No such file or > > > directory ++: **ERROR: [lavplay] Error getting video parameters: Bad file > > > descriptor ++: lavtools version 1.6.1.93 [...] > > > I've tried everything I can think of, but I still keep getting that 'Bad > > > address' message. No other video device is showing. Ok, but can you run the v4l-info for all your /dev/v4l/video* devices, and attach the first few lines like I did. With that information you also know if the card was detected properly, and should work. > > You might want to try some other devices like /dev/video0 or /dev/video1 > > Depending on wich device your DC10 really is you have to set the > > LAV_VIDEO_DEV env variable. > > > Once I have managed to get the DC10+ recognised as a device I may need some > instruction on how to do that. We first need ifnformation if you sucsessfully loaded the zoran driver. auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by OSTG.
