Last weekend I spent some time building mjpeg-tools and find:
Use glib and gtk 1.2 because 2.0+ does not have /usr/bin/gtk-config (or glib-config) needed by the configure of movtar, and most of the mjpeg packages.
Perhaps somebody already mentioned this, but I thought I would add this to the list anyway.
I am looking forward to trying to do a hardware capture/playback with a DC10+ card. Somebody please say if that is not possible with lavrec and lavplay.
