The Zoran drivers and the cards that use them - including the DC10+ and DC30 - do not support MPEG-2. The Zoran hardware codecs are for MJPEG. I'm not even sure that the PCI card that comes with Studio DV 9 has a hardware MPEG codec. As far as I can tell from the limited information available online, the Studio 9 software does the encoding; the PCI card is just a firewire card.
