I have compile a kernel 2.6.3 (from ftp.kernel.org)Have you tried loading the the zoran kernel modules that come with the
I2C support M
I2C device interface M
Video for linux M
all the options down: M
2.6.3 kernel ?
How do I do that ?
I took a look on the mailing list and found this :Right. The zoran driver in the kernel works well for most cards
... The Zoran driver is alreaddy included in the 2.6.* kernel. If you
want to compile the kernel yourself, ...
Does that mean that I have not to install the driver-zoran 0.9.4 ?
including you DC10+.
So I have not to install the driver-zoran 0.9.4 ?
In the same letter, I found this:That version should only have a fixes for the DC30.
... On the other hand you can download a more accurate driver for the
kernel from the CVS, but you have to compile that driver:
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mjpeg \Right, you have to replace the [EMAIL PROTECTED] witht he CVS server so
co -r ZORAN_VIDEODEV_2 driver-zoran/ ...
Does that mean that I have to write in a console :
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mjpeg \ co -r
ZORAN_VIDEODEV_2 driver-zoran/
to got the driver, but how do i compile it ?
your command lookes like that:
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mjpeg co
-r ZORAN_VIDEODEV_2 driver-zoran/
---END---
But you have write that in one line. You might also have to install kernel headers package if you use the
kernel that comes with the distribution.
Ok, I am using a "linux" kernel (ftp.kernel.org)
Than a "make" should do most of the work. Take a look at the docu that comes with the driver and the update
script.
Where do I have to do the "make" ?
