At log level 3 (-v 3) you get info like this: ... >PictureHeader: ... > top field first: false ... > repeat first field: false ... > Which says "top field first false" (meaning bottom field first ;)). > That's from a .mpg file I created from a DV capture, so bottom first > is correct.
Be aware that the "top-field-first" flag is on the picture, not the sequence, and can change from picture to picture if "repeat-first-field" is ever true. A sequence is pretty much guaranteed to be a succession of "top-bottom" or "bottom-top", after these flags are taken into account, but I don't know if this holds over sequence boundaries. (I'm pretty sure I've heard of cases where streams from satellite DSS broadcasts occasionally violate such rules --- which technically cause glitches, but I guess the viewer copes.) -matt m. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Sleepycat Software Learn developer strategies Cisco, Motorola, Ericsson & Lucent use to deliver higher performing products faster, at low TCO. http://www.sleepycat.com/telcomwpreg.php?From=osdnemail3 _______________________________________________ Mjpeg-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mjpeg-users
