        cvs log

        ;)

That's the only list I know of offhand.

That'd been the default for some time in the cvs version before
        the last couple release candidates.

Try as I might I haven't had any problems with it except for a
couple braindamaged MPEG-2 decoders that don't understand DPME
(Apple's DVD player and MPEG-2 module for Quicktime). Standalone
players haven't had any trouble though.

My hunch, for the couple reports of artifacting, is that the DCT/iDCT
is being driven into an overflow condition (similar to the one time
someone used a GOP size of 54 and noticed artifacting with some
material). Values of -q lower than 4 are cautioned against - I suspect
that's where the routines can encounter overflow conditions.

        Cheers,
        Steven Schultz
