Hi.
I'm not substribed to the users list, as I'm not a user of mjpegtools. I've just
tried to use them once and the result was this bug, which I'm reporting
(and will then uninstall them and find something that works).

Anyway, downloaded the src-rpm for mjpegtools-1.6.1.93-1 from sf.net
and built it under Redhat 9.
I followed your HOWTO for creating a mpeg video from jpeg image
frame. (Note that there is a bug in the HOWTO - it omits the -I option
which is required).
I issued the following command:

jpeg2yuv -f 25 -Ip -j frame%04d.jpg > result.yuv

where the framexxxx.jpg files were saved from Gimp as jpeg,
with the progressive option checked (and max quality).
(they are 800x600 pixels) (I used the video->convet frames...
option to convert them from .rgb files)

The output I got it this:
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Parsing & checking input files.
  INFO: [jpeg2yuv] YUV colorspace detected.

INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Starting decompression
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Image dimensions are 800x600
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Movie frame rate is: 25.000000 frames/second
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Non-interlaced/progressive frames.
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Frame size: 800 x 600
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Number of Loops 1
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Now generating YUV4MPEG stream.
INFO: [jpeg2yuv] Processing non-interlaced/interleaved frame0000.jpg, size 53192l.
Segmentation fault

I've tried various permutations, but all I can get is a segv.
Hope that is helpful.
Please don't subscribe me to the list.
Thanks,
-David.

PS: I also tried a binary .rpm from freshmeat for an older version - same result.
