Bom dia!

Does anyone know a good program capable of hard coding
a subtitle stream into the video stream when encoding
for SVCD?

I need that because it seems that mplex cannot multiplex
subtitle streams. And it seems that my DVD player cannot
play them also. At least it did not played a demo SVCD
I have downloaded from the internet. But then this demo
had other things, like menus, that may have contributed
to that failure.

So when I want subtitles, I hard code them into the
video. MPlayer and transcode are capable to do that,
and I have been using them successfully. Then "why
are you asking this questions here?", you may be
thinking. And I answer you: I am willing to use the
y4mscaler program to do the scaling for me, as it,
being a specialized program, seems to be able to
do a better job. Thus if I use a separate program
to do the scaling (and add the black borders), I
miss the opportunity of putting the subtitles
in the bottom black border unless I do that
after the scaler is run. Then I would need this
program I am looking for.

Maybe y4mscaler or mpeg2enc could have this feature
themselves.

Any thoughts about this?

Regards.

Romildo
