        Quite a few fixes and features.   But it sounds like that for your
        purposes the improvements are not required.

        wasn't aware of the name changing - DVDSP just refers to that as a
        DVD with a slide show.

        Shouldn't have to rebuild anything except mjpegtools.   Once the
        automake (and I'm convinced the torrent of errors mentioned all start
        with one early error during the 'aclocal' run).

        Two weeks?   Must be a couple hundred packages to rebuild  ;)   I
        remember doing a cold install and had everything recompiled and
        running in a couple days (but only 30 or 40 packages/programs though).

        As time permits perhaps you can try kicking automake into shape and
        get the cvs version of mjpegtools going.   On the other hand the
        .93 release candidate should be up in a few days and that should have
        all the auto* stuff already done.
