Hallo > Is the -F in yuvdenoise redundant with the -I 0 in mpeg2enc ? or should I use > both at the same time ? The -I option in mpeg2enc does not chnage the video. If you have a interlaced stream it does not deinterlace it. It only tells mpeg2enc that the stream is not interlaced. And mpeg2enc changes the mode from frame-by-frame with interlace-adapted motion compensation (-I 1, default for MPEG2) to frame by frame (-I 0).
But you have to take care that the video is not interlaced if you use the -I 0 option. So you have to deinterlace the video with the yuvdenoise -F option. If the video is not interlaced, you only need the -I 0 option in mpeg2enc. Both options are not redundant (you could encode a interlaced video to MPEG1) ! Usually you use them both. BTW: For interlaced material -I 2 would also be a possible solution, but is not that well optimized. auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
