Hmmm... Some months ago, I used the trick to watch a DVD I'd rented then run 
out of time to watch before it had to go back - I used dvdbackup to copy it 
to the HDD then pointed mplayer at the copy later. It certainly worked fine 
then. I've just tried to replicate it with another DVD, though, and I can't 
seem to get it to work. (Perhaps I used libcss or something...? I'll try that 
when I get time...)
