It's building.....
It built!

Hmmm....all my 2.6 modules seem to end in .ko rather than .o...

Made the slack-package and
Installed these in /lib/modules/2.6.0-test6/kernel/drivers/media/video
- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7986 Oct 9 09:13 saa7111.ko
- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7509 Oct 9 09:13 saa7185.ko
- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 12136 Oct 9 09:13 videocodec.ko
- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 100485 Oct 9 09:13 zoran.ko
- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13536 Oct 9 09:13 zr36060.ko

depmod -a is happy

and modprobe zoran says
bash-2.05b# modprobe zoran
FATAL: Error inserting zoran (/lib/modules/2.6.0-test6/kernel/drivers/media/
video/zoran.ko): No such device

cat /proc/interrupts doesn't show there's a zoran card in there at all...

lspci -v has it at:
01:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Zoran Corporation ZR36057PQC Video
cutting chipset (rev 01)
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 64, IRQ 17
        Memory at f69ff000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K]

Hmmm...IRQ=17? Well, the USB adapter is UHCI, listed at IRQ19, and it works (&
shows up in /proc/interrupts).

Maybe I did something wrong when I built the kernel?
I did use the new kernel option
[*] Allocate 3rd-level pagetables from highmem
because it says it's less wasteful for large memory systems.
Could this be a problem with zoran?

Should an IRQ appear in /proc/interrupts if I have not yet successfully
modprobed the driver for the device?
If so, then this probably has nothing to do with driver-zoran.

Thanks for your kind assistance!
