No tool, but you can telnet to the remote mail server on its SMTP port (25 or 587) and use "EXPN" or "VRFY" commands, such as: telnet someserver.com 25 EXPN postmaster But whether it tells you or not depends on the remote mail server's configuration (that is, they can be configured not to tell you whether the address is valid, and many are so configured nowadays).
