After further tests it appears to happen at around 9 minutes and 8 seconds into the recording! My output in /var/log/messages is similar to a problem David Cox reported to the list a few months ago "9 minute buz" Here's some of the output: Sep 16 17:02:29 buz kernel: Buz[0]: zoran_open(lavrec, pid=[1184]), users(-)=0 Sep 16 17:02:29 buz kernel: Buz[0]: enable_jpg(IDLE) Sep 16 17:02:29 buz kernel: Buz[0]: mmap(MJPEG) of 0x41412000-0x41c12000 (size=8388608) Sep 16 17:02:29 buz kernel: Buz[0]: enable_jpg(MOTION_COMPRESS) Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: first frame ready: state=0x28000000 odd_even=1 field_per_buff=2 delay=1 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: stat_com=1000 queue_state=0/0/4/32 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: seq=0 stat_com: 0301b969 1df62000 1df51000 1dfb0000 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: seq=3 stat_com: 1de8f000 0401c499 1df51000 1dfb0000 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: seq=4 stat_com: 1de8f000 1de4e000 0501c1b1 1dfb0000 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: seq=5 stat_com: 1de8f000 1de4e000 1de0d000 0601c4e1 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: seq=6 stat_com: 0701bdb9 1de4e000 1de0d000 1ddcc000 Sep 16 17:02:30 buz kernel: Buz[0]: seq=7 stat_com: 1dd8b000 0801c8f9 1de0d000 1ddcc000 Sep 16 17:12:16 buz kernel: Buz[0]: JPEG error stat=0x40000300(0x28000000) queue_state=14644/14651/14651/14651 seq=14653 frame=16.
