Try the smilutils package from the Linux DV Site (http://kino.schirmacher.de/article/view/59/1/11/) should be able to creat a yuv4mpeg stream like lav2yuv does it for mjpeg encoded *.avi *.mov
lav2yuv should be able to handel dv1 correct. PS: I think I there was much text in the www.satlug.org page in the pre 1.6.x mjpeg howto.
