Bernhard Praschinger (<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>) has a Tyan 2466-4M
with two MP-2400 (if memory serves me correctly) cpus and TWO
mjpeg capture cards plus two sound cards. The last I heard it
        was working very well.

Then I wonder if it's just that the Buz is flaky (which, from what I read, is why it was discontinued)

Perhaps Bernhard will join the conversation at this point with
any tips/hints that he used to get his system up and running.

That would be appreciated.

I can give more details as requested, I was just checking to see if anyone had any success with any AMD chipset boards, specifically the 760MPX chipset.
The AMD chipset was not known to have any issues until now.

Well, I can attest that this chipset doesn't work with the 0.7x and 0.9x of the BTTV drivers for my Zoltrix TV Max card, and the dmesgs show a bunch of interrupt related nasties before the whole machine kernel panics. So, there may be some interrupt issues. The 0.7x works fine on my 440BX chipset box. I haven't tried the Buz on that box, because it would be nice to get it to work on the beefy Athlon, you know?

For myself I use a IEEE1394 card and a analog->DV converter (Canopus ADVC100) and have missed all the fun and excitement of
getting the MJPEG cards working ;)

I plan on picking up a IEEE1394 card this weekend and bumming my girlfriend's Dazzle Hollywood DV bridge off her (she has a G4 Powerbook) and seeing if that works. If so, I may pick one up. The Buz was more of a curiosity since I could pick one up cheap ($40US, ebay), where the DV things are all at least $100. (Of course, I've spent nearly that on cards that didn't work so far, so I suppose it all evens out. :-) )
