This is a somewhat well-known work-around for DVD players that won't support SVCD's but will play MPEG2 encoded files, IF the tags are marked with VCD and NOT SVCD tags. My Sony DVD player does this. I've done this with mplex using MPEG2 encoded .mpv files, and just told mplex I was producing an MPEG file for a VCD. I've also done this with TMPEnc's MJPEG tools. -Gerry > You find the commands and steps described in the mjpeg-howto Sections: > Creating Video-CD's, Creating SVCD, Creating DVD's > > > I think it is a matter of time before all the tricks involved with Nero appear > > in K3B, so if I can prepare the files in Linux I will soon be able to burn > > them in Linux, hopefully! > > > > I note that kino uses mjpegtools to export its mpeg files.
