Hello, First, here is my system:
Mandrake 9.1 (stock kernel) driver-zoran-0.94 I have the kernel-source RPM installed. When I type "make" in the driver-zoran directory, I get the following error output: --- ERROR --- make: /scripts/pathdown.sh: Command not found Making Unified Zoran (zr360x7) driver for 2.4.21-0.13mdk kernel... make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk' make -C /usr/src/builds/driver-zoran-0.9.4 CFLAGS="-D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i586 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk/include/linux/modversions.h" MAKING_MODULES=1 modules make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/builds/driver-zoran-0.9.4' gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i586 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk/include/linux/modversions.h -DEXPORT_SYMTAB -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -DKBUILD_BASENAME=zoran_procfs -c -o zoran_procfs.o zoran_procfs.c <command line>:137971767:18496: /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk/include/linux/modversions.h: No such file or directory In file included from zoran_procfs.c:34: /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk/include/linux/module.h:300: parse error before "UTS_RELEASE" make[2]: *** [zoran_procfs.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/builds/driver-zoran-0.9.4' make[1]: *** [_mod_/usr/src/builds/driver-zoran-0.9.4] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk' make: *** [here] Error 2 --- ERROR --- (that's the full output). I think it all starts with the inability to find '/scripts/pathdown.sh', which is referenced in '/lib/modules/`uname -r`/build/Rules.make', since in seems to be looking in the '/' directory (i.e., *the* top-level directory). I did make a symlink to the 'scripts' directory in the '/' directory, but I get a "permission denied" error when I type 'make'. I know I have done this on a Mandrkae 9.1 system before, but unfortunately, I am unable to recall how, exactly :-( Can anyone here point me in the right direction?
