Hi - I'm a slow learner sometimes it would seem.
I completely neglected the fact that due to the 4:2:0 nature of the data that changing the chroma values affects *4* pixels and not just the pixel that is currently being examined. Oops. That explains the horrid artifacts I saw last night. So for now I'd recommend y4mblackfix only for folks wanting some "special effects" added. I think the basic concept is ok but the implementation needs a lot more work ;) At the moment I'm leaning towards looking at a 4 pixel (2x2) area and if 2 or more pixels are considered "dark" setting all 4 pixels to the user specified values. Sound reasonable? Cheers, Steven Schultz ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
