I don't know this applet. I use FitCD, a Win programm, which runs with wine here. The installation of wine for fitcd was very easy with Suse 8.1, I clicked on FitCD and the configuration of wine started and after 2 minutes I could calculate with FitCD. The bitrates calculated with FitCD are a little bit to small here. I have 10-20MB difference for a 700MB-CD. This dependes on the -q parameter especially.
