When you installed RH8.0, did you selected the development packages? I'm also using RH8.0; i just downloaded the mjpegtools src.rpm and did this: rpmbuild --rebuild --target=athlon mjpegtools-1.6.1-1.src.rpm That generated the binary packages, which i then installed.
