I'm trying (again) to get my Buz to work properly. So I've suceeded so far
in using the stable driver from CVS (straight 0.8 would not compile for me)
and installing mjpegtools-1.6.1.

Now, I can sort of capture video, but it will stop at random times, anywhere
from 10 seconds to 8 minutes. That 8 minute capture I actually suceeded in
making that a test SVCD and played it on my living room (nice). But I'd like
to get more reliable encoding. One thing that made a lot of difference for
me was to increase the buffer size to 384. However, the size and quality
of the images don't seem to matter, as it has failed within seconds running
in decimation 4.

I'm running 2.4.20 on a Gentoo system. It's a SiS 735 chipset on an Athlon XP
1700+ CPU. I could not get the 0.9 driver to compile, either 0.9.1 or the CVS branch.

Can anybody help me? Here is the output from lavrec and my dmesg since the
loading of the driver (notice no dropped frames):
