Can you do 'locate dv.h'?
I've seen that happen also. That's why I asked "is the quicktime4linux-1.4 still being maintained" on the developers list the other day. Having quicktime4linux-1.4-patches around is hazardous to mjpegtools' health it seems ;( The workaround is to move the quicktime4linux-1.4 directory aside so that the old dv.h file is not used. A longer term solution would be to use the libquicktime project: libquicktime.sourceforge.net - it has a modern 'DV' plugin and libquicktime is quicktime4linux compatible - should be fairly straightforward to switch mjpegtools over to using it (the necessary "#ifdef HAVE_LIBQUICKTIME" lines appear to be present already).
