I want to know the current possibilities/limits concerning G400-TV.
I got a G400-TV, use X11 and want to convert mpeg to VHS-cassettes.
What I want to know is, if there is yet a possibility to start mplayer
from X11 (first screen) and make it output a PAL signal to the TVout (to
TV/VHS).
Second question: What does this "PAL-mode" the G400-TV offers? Is it
just the same as configuring the second head (maybe via framebuf) to
PAL-timing? Or does the hardware something more valuable then?
One thought in this context: Is it better to configure the second head via
framebuf to PAL timing and a digital resolution matching the
mpeg-resolution or is it better to scale the video to some other
resolution before giving it to the TVout? Does the BES work for this?
