Like Dirk, I'm also suffering from this error which is preventing me from successfully compiling mjpegtools-1.6.1 (Redhat 7.2). I have installed libdv-0.98-1 from an rpm, and following the advice Hannes gave, tried installing libquicktime-0.9.2pre1 as a replacement for quicktime4linux-1.4-patched-2. After compiling and installing libquicktime, I get the same error. Perhaps it is unrelated, but in ./configure'ing mjpegtools I received the following errors: checking for movtar-config... no checking for movtar - version >= 0.0.2... no *** The movtar-config script installed by movtar could not be found. *** If movtar was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the MOVTAR_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to movtar-config. configure: WARNING: avifile-config could not be found, divx support disabled checking for sdl-config... no checking for SDL - version >= 1.1.3... no *** The sdl-config script installed by SDL could not be found *** If SDL was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the SDL_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to sdl-config. even though I've installed all of these (libmovtar-0.1.3, avifile-0.7.22-20021129, SDL-1.2.5-1) according to the instructions in the mjpeg INSTALL file. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
