Actually, the onboard sound isn't too bad. I'm not trying to make a Hollywood movie, just move some of my old (taped off the air) VHS tapes to (Super) Video CD, and perhaps do some PVR type stuff. Eventually, I'll move up to a SoundBlaster Live and some decent caputre hardware, but for now, this works well. > You could try using --use-read when using ALSA.
