This is getting a bit silly (but it's that kind of afternoon) but
I'll fifth it :)
The only "quibble" I've got with the Philips 724 is that it does not
letterbox 16:9 SVCDs when attached to a normal TVset. Widescreen
DVDs work fine but apparently the same logic isn't engaged to wide
SVCDs.
I have also noticed the audio channel selection problem when playing
DVD format on CD-R - selecting channel C0 works fine to get the
audio playing (and very good of Philips to include the "select a
channel ID" capability).
Very good player (handles the SVCD PBC much better than the Apex I
wasted time with), nice looking - a very good value/$ ratio.
