Hi guys,

Just a quick update:

Jus has relicensed his fantastic skins under a DFSG-compatible
Creative Commons license. This means these skins no longer need to be
stripped out of the Mixxx package that's in the Debian/Ubuntu
repositories.

I've also added Jus' keyboard mapping template to the manual on the wiki.

Thanks,
Albert

Subject: 1.8 Skins DFSG compatible licensing + UE improvements
To: Albert Santoni <[email protected]>

Hello Albert,
Just noticed the skins i have made were kicked out of your Ubuntu
Mixxx 1.8 RC upstream
http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/report.py/diff?upid1=8483&upid2=8484
So i changed the skins license to Creative Commons
Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported
The skins are now DFSG-compatible see
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianFreeSoftwareGuidelines
I hope were are done for now with these pesky licensing questions :-)
Also the Tooltips for the skins got an overhault to be actually useful.
Example: http://imgur.com/mOdQi.png
It would be nice if we could address the Tooltip bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/605517  in 1.8.1 for a better
user experience/ less support requests.
Lastly i would like to point out to the new keyboard vector image(
/mixxx/res/images/templates ). It can be used to make a professional
looking keyboard sheet.
You find the current mapping attached as pdf for convenience. Maybe we
can include it in the 1.8 user documentation .
Cant wait for the 1.8 release. This is an impressive team effort:-)
