I was just poking around the system and noticed that gdb 6.3 is in base. Is there any reason other than GPL v3 license that a newer version hasn't been imported into base? I checked and saw that gdb 6.6 is the last one which allows GPL v2 or later. When you run gdb 6.6 it gives the same notice as the base gdb 6.3. gdb 6.7 onwards come with GPL v3. When you run gdb 6.7 and up the notice is changed and it now says v3 or later. Thanks, amit
