I understand you are doing this for testing and learning purposes. In that case, i think you should also try ldapd(8), which is in base. Even though the manual still says "ldapd does not fully work yet", i guess martinh@ will be interested in good bug reports. And maybe it's even already up to your task, who knows... Yours, Ingo
