But, I made this mistake since I copied and pasted from a Documentation. I changed it to* amd64. * and built the kernel as usual. After rebooting . Server came up as usual. Pls see below # uname -a OpenBSD pf64.622bsd.com 4.8 GENERIC#0 amd64 And this one too, # dmesg |grep OpenBSD OpenBSD 4.8-stable (GENERIC) #0: Mon Dec 27 15:15:49 IST 2010 Now, it is Okay.
