I don't think so. See eg. these simple examples: I prefer Linux if I need 1. Web hosting supporting eg. the de_DE.utf8 locale: Impossible with OpenBSD, no-brainer with Linux (This may have changed in 4.8, didn't have time to look into this, yet). 2. ISDN support - OpenBSD has none (for me, a requirement for eg. a PBX) :/ I prefer OpenBSD if I need 3. Firewall/VPNs... I find that OpenBSD really shines in this area, compared to Linux, and appears to be much more secure, too. 4. Routers... :) You are welcome to comment on ways to replace Linux with OpenBSD or vice versa in these use cases. Kind regards, --Toni++
