Hello I do not know if is the wrong place to ask this, I feel the possible off-topic :-).
Several colleagues and I are planning to mount a router with 3 operators who comes fiber, 1GB each (minimum). My colleagues opted for Cisco, but are informed of the existence of the project OpenBGPD and give him a chance. Know the return on processor systems for this capability, it will be less than asic (cisco / juniper / etc), I guess. I wanted to ask someone who has run something like this, what equipment is mounted? Performance? Cards and system failover?. Thanks. Greetings
