mentions location of .xinitrc but it is not present on my current system in that location as there is no xinit directory. "The system-wide xinitrc and xserverrc files are found in the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit directory." P.S I was looking for a way to shut off xdm and I found it in the README under /usr/X11R6 Thanks
