Has anyone seen /var/log files that are rotated and compressed by newsyslog have "\bmalloc" appended to their n.gz file names?
I see a few files that have this happen to them on a 4.5 system. The files themselves are otherwise fine; they are "gzip compressed" log files. --patrick
