btw, audioctl output, when nothing is using the soundcard, and you aren't
trying to set anything with audioctl, is useless 99.9999% of the time.

and of course, "seem not to work" does not in any way explain what's
wrong.  maybe you got corrupted packages/binaries and it has nothing to
do with the hardware.  I don't know, because you didn't explain what
"they seem not to work" means.
