I am going to continue this on ports, my mistake earlier I created a new profile, but I still can't get thunderbird 3 to accept my self-signed certificate for sendmail TLS. It asks for me to confirm that the certificate should be used as a permanent exception (just as previous thunderbird did at first setup or after making new certificates on my server.
