Which is minimally useful, too. Say you install at X-3 months into the production cycle and need to add more machines five months later. Same problem. If you are lucky, some day you will have to deal with a heterogeneous solution. If you are unlucky, you will have much bigger problems, such as lots of spare hardware because you are contracting. (that being said, manufacturers who stick the same product number and name on different products need to be taken out back and have the snot and many other things beaten out of them. It is sad that some manufacturers do make a point of advertising that they don't do this. "We don't suck in this way", oh joy.) Nick.
