This is yesterday's current. Trying to record a _mono_
sound with 'aucat -C 0:0 -o file.wav' seems to always
result in a _stereo_ file, whether I specify -u or not,
whether the aucat server is running or not
(see script and dmesg below).
I used file(1) to look at the resulting file,
but also play'd it with sox and ffplay - it is
indeed stereo, with one chanel silent (and one channel
containing what I wanted to record into a mono file).
Am I missing something obvious?
