As I say in my second post I have no access and am not on site. The modems were delivered less than a month ago, they work when non-bridged, and until they migrated their PPPoE server last night, the pppoe links from the OpenBSD boxes were running fine for the past few weeks. I'm somewhat surprised that no one else here has been bitten by this (and yes I have explained that running up-to-date systems is good practice).
