Three questions: (0) When you have Firefox open --two times, as you say-- and you do $ pgrep -l firefox or $ ps ax | grep firefox | grep -v grep at the command line, precisely what does it say? (1) What version of Firefox do you use? (2) Assuming a recent 3.x Firefox version, under Edit -- Preferences -- Main -- Startup, what does it say next to "When Firefox starts"? regards, --ropers
