HiHi!
Also - I am mostly now happy if some one can tell me how (command) to disable sound ? the node is headless and has a internal speaker.
This idea goes back 25 years under DOS. Ever since my first PC one of the first things I'd do is drill a hole somewhere in a front panel, or a spare drive bay cover, and install a toggle switch wired inline with the speaker. 'Click' = 'silent.' :)
Linux and OBSD though I notice the only beep I hear from them is if pine/alpine is running, which it usually is, to announce a new message. So these kinds of boxes lately don't have switches and when I turn off the mail reader I never hear from them.
Have a :) day! Jim -- jim barchuk [email protected]
