Hello, I'm working on my laptop with OpenBSD 4.4 and am quite pleased with it thus far.
However, I am having trouble with KDE, specifically accessing administrator mode in many of the Control Center dialogs. It prompts me for my password, but no matter whether I type the root password or the password for my normal user account I get the error message "conversation with su failed", and it won't let me do such things as add printers, change the screen resolution, etc. I have searched high and low for a solution to this before consulting the list; is there anyone who has encountered similar issues and have successfully resolved this issue?
