I've been poking around the Misc archives, and haven't seen anything related to solving this specific issue, at least with my own preferred router software: OpenBSD.

So, while researching on implementation details for a community wireless system, I found out about Hazy-Sighted Link State Routing Protocol. As I understand it, it's essentially a version of OSPF that handles bandwidth and link quality in calculating the best route to the Internet.

What I'm wondering is if I'd missed something important and basic in OpenBSD for using it as a Mesh Router.
