As others have pointed out, instruction are in FAQ 8 & 13. Type 'make' in the appropriate ports directory you will get an error message telling you exactly what to download manually. It took about 10 hours to build an a PIII 800MHz Thinkpad and you need a few GB diskspace - works perfectly!
