I have not had a chance to look at this, but I have written some basic info on solving problems with the generic driver: http://freedaemonhosting.com/~deanna/azalia-no-sound.txt I won't post it inline here, for fear of being run out on a rail. It's a very tedious process and only meant for the truly devoted or truly desperate ;)
